The temporary community facilities at Samford Grove Retirement Village are now complete and ready for use.
Over the next year, these facilities will be the village’s social hub while the new clubhouse is being built. There’s room for activities and social functions, a kitchen, offices, a hairdressing salon and a deck with a built-in barbeque and outdoor kitchen.
The Hamptons-style decor gives a relaxed, sophisticated look and homely feel. Comfortable chairs and plenty of greenery make the space feel open and inviting.
Although it’s a little smaller than the Homestead – which will include an indoor swimming pool, gym, movie theatre, cafe, hair and beauty salon and library when completed – the temporary community centre has been designed and outfitted to reflect the finished product.
The community centre will also be used as a sales suite for the village’s new homes. The materials chosen match the quality of the brand new homes, down to the bench tops and tapware. Finishes boards, floor plans and renders are also on display for those who are interested in learning more.
Samford Grove’s residents were excited to make the move and are already settling into the new space.
The community looks forward to formally christening the new centre at their upcoming happy hour drinks.
The former community centre has now been demolished to allow for construction of the new clubhouse to begin. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2020.
