Two additional villas are also expected to be completed before the end of the month, as painting, tiling and electrical fit outs now transpire in the homes.

Meanwhile Stage 3 civil works are underway as retaining walls are also under construction and rain gardens have been completed.

Adding to the 27 existing boutique, on-ground independent living villas at Samford Grove, the expansion will provide 96 new independent living villas and 12 apartments surrounded by green open space and within easy walking distance to all the services of Samford Village.

All homes will include secure car parking and views over the surrounding mountain ranges.

All new villas feature luxurious kitchens with stone benchtops, single or double garages, ensuites, European appliances, ample storage, and expansive entertainment areas with built-in barbecue kitchens.

It’s been a buzz of activity at Samford Grove with construction of our exciting expansion well underway. Stage One apartments, townhouses and homes are now complete followed by the first two villas in Stage 2.

The final touches of all villas are now taking place at the remaining Stage 2 villas, with painting, tiling and landscaping a key priority over the next few weeks, followed by the completion of all driveways. 

Internal insulation and sheeting have now been completed in the first two of the over/unders and the frame has been finalised on the next four villas. The footings for these villas will commence next month. 

We are excited to announce that Stage 3 is due to launch later this year and will include a range of spacious two to three-bedroom homes.

It’s been a milestone month for the construction at Samford Grove with the first two villas in Stage 2 nearing completion in anticipation of handovers this month. 

Despite a slight pause on construction work due to recent wet weather, the remaining villas are progressing well and are on track to be completed in April. 

It is amazing to see these homes coming to life and we look forward to welcoming our newest residents to the Samford Grove community.

A milestone achievement for Samford Grove is approaching as the first of the Stage 2 homes near the end of completion.

Whether you’re already a resident at Samford Grove or you’re considering the community, it’s exciting to watch the construction of our highly anticipated expansion.

A break in the weather has seen construction gain momentum, with the remaining on ground homes on track to be completed in early April.

The pace of construction has also seen the townhomes starting to emerge.

Footings for the next eight homes have also commenced with slabs soon to be poured – these will be the final slab pours in Stage 2.

Our team has maintained progress on these homes, which our residents will soon be proud to call their own, despite the shortage of materials which has been widely reported across Australia.

We’ve implemented new initiatives to ensure the wellbeing of our community during these times.

During these times, now more than ever, it is crucial that we all do our part to keep ourselves and those around us safe.

At Reside Communities, the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff is paramount.

To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and maintain a safe, fulfilling and enjoyable environment within Samford Grove and our other communities, we have implemented a number of new initiatives and work practices:

  • All Reside Communities operational staff are double vaccinated.
  • All guests must check in via the QR code prior to entering the villages and community centres.
  • Only double vaccinated guests are permitted to enter our community centres and must provide proof to staff when checking in.
  • A health and wellbeing checklist has been implemented to ensure every resident receives a phone call ‘check in’ from village staff weekly at a minimum. This is escalated to a home visit if a call goes unanswered.
  • Reside management carry out regular communication to our residents by providing information on updates provided by Queensland Health.
  • Staff rosters are adjusted to ensure minimal contact with each other and reduce the risk of multiple team members becoming unwell.
  • All of our villages have a supply of Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) available for our staff to ensure our team can return to work as safely as possible.

By implementing these new measures, we are able to keep our communities operating as usual and continue to deliver upon our commitments to residents.

After enjoying a well-earned Christmas and New Year break our construction teams are back in action at Samford Grove.

We love welcoming new residents to our community, so it is exciting to know that two brand new villas are nearing completion and will be ready for handover by the end of January.

While a period of wet weather created some challenging site conditions at the end of 2021, our teams found ways to work around the downpours and maintain progress.

As the rain fell the focus switched to fitting out villas that already have roofs in place, ensuring that new homes continued to take shape across the community.

Elsewhere within Stage 2 of Samford Grove’s expansion our teams working on the innovative ‘over/under’ home designs have backfilled the retaining walls. This will allow the installation of footings to get underway shortly.

The impressive rate of progress at Samford Grove means work is almost complete on the final five homes within the first stage of our community expansion.

With the end of construction in sight our teams can deliver the high-quality touches that bring these new homes to life, including floor finishes that are applied now that other internal work is finished.
